A Podiatrist is qualified in the treatment of a wide range of foot problems. Podiatrists undertake a 3 year University degree which they can then supplement with further clinical training and study for higher degrees.
Paul's training is in the assessment and treatment of foot problems. Like all Podiatrists he has undergone extensive training in the biomechanical management of lower limb pathologies that may result in abnormal foot function and subsequent foot problems.
Paul's work is divided between commitments for training undergraduate and postgraduate Podiatry students at the University of Northampton where he works as a Senior Lecturer and Northampton General Hospital and his private practice at St Georges House.
Paul specialises in the management of musculoskeletal disorders of the lower limb, foot and ankle disorders, arthritic conditions and sports related injuries of the foot.

NewsIn 2012 Paul was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Research Degree Supervision and became a Fellow Faculty Podiatric Medicine of Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons (Glasg).
Also in 2012, Paul became a member of the NRES Research Ethics Committee (East Midlands Ð Leicester) and a mentor on the clinical academic career intern scheme (NHS Midlands & East).
Paul was awarded his PhD by The University of Northampton in 2010 for his study on osteoarthritis of the big toe joint.
